The team at Ruby’s were delighted to meet the 2023 Captain’s of Congleton Golf Club, Dave and Katharine when they visited Ruby’s on Friday. Dave and Katharine presented a cheque for £2000 towards the work we do supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities. Katharine said “Dave and I decided that our charities for the year 2023 were going to be Ruby’s Fund and Multi Sclerosis. We thought it would be good to support a local cause and knowing that Ruby’s relies on donations and grants we wanted to raise some money for the good work you do in the local community”. Katharine went on to say “I have followed Ruby’s over the years and know of all the hard work and dedication you have put into this project to make it a success. I felt this was a small part I could play in the continued good work you do”. The money was raised from several events held throughout 2023 and from the generosity of the members of the club. Alison Parr said ‘on behalf of Ruby’s we are grateful to Dave and Katharine for choosing Ruby’s as one of their charities of 2023. The generosity and support of all at Congleton Golf Club is much appreciated and will help enormously with the work we do supporting children with SEND and their families”.
