On Wednesday 29th May two teams from Reliance Medical in Talke, and the Pear Hospitality Group hosted their first ever charity football match at the bet365 Stadium, home of Stoke City football team.
The two teams came together for the 90-minute match to raise money for Congleton based charity Ruby’s (Ruby’s Fund). The match finished with a draw 2:2. The event raised £1138 which was then generously matched by Reliance Medical.
Congleton based charity Ruby’s supports children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families and carers at their centre in Congleton and with outreach support across Cheshire East.
Reliance Medical, Chief Operating Officer, Alan Smith said “It has been great fun building up to it and the match was a dream come true for some individuals. Thank you and congratulations to everybody involved and for the support of all of those who attended the game”.
Alison Parr, Founder of Ruby’s would like to thank all those involved in making the football match possible and such an enjoyable event. said “it was a great evening, thank you to the two teams from both companies for all the hard work that had gone into planning and training for the event. It was extra special as some of our families were able to attend and it was their first time experiencing a real match in a football stadium, including Ruby herself! We are all incredibly grateful”.
