We have vacancies for the role of Volunteer Receptionist, to assist in the provision of a professional and efficient front of house service for all users of Ruby’s. If you are a student wanting to gain experience in the school holidays or a parent able to volunteer during school times we can find a time to suit you!

Candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of ½ day per week. Shift times ideally are 9.15-12.15 or 12.15-3.15pm

Main Responsibilities Include:

1. Telephone response
Answering the main telephone, taking messages as required
Providing information to callers and signposting them to our website and timetable

2. Receiving visitors to the centre
Ensure that all clients and visitors are welcomed and signed in and out of the centre

3. Stocking of the charity shop stock
Ensure the clothes rail is tidy and well stocked
Sort new deliveries of nearly new clothes for display

4. Management of leaflets and resources
Ensure that resources, leaflets and posters are kept up to date in reception

Skills & Qualifications Required:

Experience within a similar role is desirable
Good organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills and a warm and friendly manner
Ability to demonstrate good customer service skills
