Ruby’s are this years Charity of the Year at Astbury Golf Club. Earlier in the year we were told about a fundraising event that they were arranging for our charity and the Golf development Program at Astbury Golf Club. Today we are absolutely blown away to find out how much they raised. We cannot thank you enough for arranging this event and supporting Ruby’s so generously. You are all Ruby’s Superstars!
The Captains 54 hole Charity Challenge was taken on by 6 teams of 4 members raising over £10,600 for Ruby’s Fund and The Golf Development program at Astbury Golf Club. The teams played for the top prize of a ‘4-ball Day’ at the prestigious West Lancashire Golf Club donated by Gareth Ball . As it happens, Gareth’s team won the prize! Across the 6 teams the difference was only 14 points after 3 full rounds and 54 holes on the magnificently presented Astbury Golf Club course.
Special Thanks to Matt Dixon the Club Professional, Chris Thompson and Rob Denham who supported the Captain, Mark Perry in the organisation of the day. Also many thanks to the day’s sponsors – Rick Snelson, Mark Gibbins of LRC 4×4 , and Gareth Ball of Molson COORS Breweries. Returning to the clubhouse with their families and friends the 24, had a party and celebrated the fantastic news that they had raised £3,500 over their target
.
