SEND Activities Worker

Our activities provide safe, inclusive spaces where children can play, learn, and build confidence while families enjoy essential respite. As an Activities Worker, you’ll help make these sessions fun, engaging, and meaningful—bringing our values of kindness, accountability, inclusivity, and creativity to life.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist the SEND Play & Short Breaks Coordinator in planning and delivering sessions.
- Support SEND after-school sessions, short break activity clubs, Wednesday sessions, monthly Sibs group, and Saturday social sessions.
- Engage children and young people in inclusive activities that encourage social interaction and confidence.
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are maintained at all times.
Time commitment
Approximately 12-15 hours per week (flexible schedule). 12 month fixed-term contract.
Salary
Up to £13.50 per hour dependent upon experience
Who we’re looking for
- Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic about working with children and young people with SEND.
- Reliable and committed to creating positive experiences for families.
- Able to work as part of a team and follow safeguarding procedures.
- Previous experience in childcare or SEND support is helpful but not essential.
