At Ruby’s, we understand how important mental health and emotional wellbeing are—both for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and for their families. That’s why we’re proud to offer funding support for counselling services for parents and carers living in Cheshire East who are registered with Ruby’s.

To help make this process simple and stress-free, we’ve created a clear, step-by-step guide. Here’s how you can access funded counselling through Ruby’s:

 

Step 1: Learn About Counselling

Before deciding if counselling is the right route for you, we recommend reading the NHS guidance on what counselling involves. This will help you understand what to expect and whether it’s the best support option for your current needs.

Step 2: Choose Your Counsellor

If you decide to go ahead with counselling, visit the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) website. This is where you can find a qualified and accredited counsellor or service that suits you.

Step 3: Apply for Funding

Once you’ve found the right service, it’s time to complete our simple funding application form. This helps us understand your needs and process your request.

Step 4: We’ll Be in Touch

If your application is approved, a member of our team will contact you. We’ll confirm the details of your chosen counselling service and take care of arranging payment directly.

 

Step 5: Share Your Feedback

Once your counselling sessions are complete, we’ll ask you to share your feedback. This helps us continue to improve our support and understand what works best for families like yours.
