On 22nd June 2025 William was joined by his closest friends and families to complete a fundraising walk around Astbury Mere to raise funds for Ruby's. This is the second year that William, his friends and family have organised this walk for Ruby's. We are humbled and proud to have supported William and his family in this amazing fundraiser. Here are some words written from William's mummy: William is a bright, kind and determined little boy with a love for dinosaurs and the great outdoors. William has a diagnosis of Autism and communicates through the use of an AAC device. William has accessed Ruby's since the age of 18 months. It has been a safe haven for him to play and be himself whilst offering me opportunity to be heard and understood when times are tough. Raising a child with additional needs can be isolating and Alison and her team at Ruby's have been a sounding board, offering lived experiences and invaluable advise.
