Ruby’s is a charity based in Cheshire East that provides support to children and young people with SEND and their families. We have been experiencing an exciting period of growth and we are now looking for a Community Hub and Wellbeing Officer to join our team.

Purpose:

To ensure that Ruby’s upholds its values, vision, and mission by developing and sustaining high quality services to support children and young people with SEND and their families. As the Community Hub and Wellbeing Officer, the post holder will uphold the values of Ruby’s in both internal and external activities

We are looking for a self-starter with excellent organisational and communicational skills to join our team. This role will require a person who can work under pressure and remain customer focused. This role will mainly be based at our centre in Congleton, but travel across Cheshire East may be required so access to a car is important. Some remote working may be possible.

Hours of work:

18 hours per week over 3 days, the occasional evening and weekend may be required (we will consider term time role for the right candidate) £13 per hour rising to £15 per hour on completion of successful probationary period

Role includes:

  • Timetable planning and management of the community hub
  • Planning, implementation, and delivery of sessions to include support, educational and awareness raising.
  • Working with external partners (statutory and third sector)
  • Promotion of the community hub and sessions
  • Signposting and referring centre visitors to internal and external partners
  • Measuring and reporting of KPI’s
  • Attending and contributing to Management meetings as required

Must have:

  • A good knowledge of the local area/community
  • A good knowledge of statutory and third sector organisations locally & nationally
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Be confident with IT as this role requires a skilled user of Microsoft 365, TEAMS, Outlook, Excel

Proven experience in at least 2 of these areas:

  • Budget management
  • Reducing social isolation
  • Mental health & wellbeing
  • Social prescribing
  • Event management
