The Listen to Me project is a counselling project for parents (mums and dads) and carers of children with additional needs. One to one counselling is available for up to 6 sessions. This project will continue until our budget is spent so please get in touch if you think this will be of benefit to you.

Meet the counsellors:

Bev Daniel (MA(Hons) Couns, Dip.Couns, Cert.Couns.)

“I have a wealth of experience as a counsellor, trainer and facilitator working for the past 14 years with children, young people and adults in a variety of settings.

I am well aware of the difficulties people have in accessing suitable services and am proud that SWaNS has been set up to help. I am passionate about providing counselling, training and support that helps to develop emotional wellbeing and promotes positive mental health.”

Clare Foster (Dip.Couns, Cert.Couns)

“I have worked for over ten years as a support worker, counsellor and trainer in various organisations with clients facing many issues and difficulties both practically and emotionally.

I have extensive experience of facilitating group work and thrive on the challenges this can present. This work has highlighted the need for emotional and mental health support and has fired my passion to tackle the issues surrounding positive mental health and wellbeing.”

Kirsty Halm (Dip.Couns, Cert.Couns)
